Lee Smith is the President and Founder of Alaska Energy Resources, an oilfield technology company focused on drilling and completion performance in unconventional plays. With over 30 years of experience, his career spans the development and commercialisation of shale-optimised technologies, including ream-while-drilling systems and swellable packers.

Lee began his career with Schlumberger before holding senior product and operations roles across the industry. His background in geology, engineering, and innovation strategy underpins his technical approach. He holds over 30 patents in drilling and completion and has authored more than 50 technical papers.
